Answers without the waiting.
Does the finder need the InSyncKids app?
No. A finder uses a compatible phone to tap the NFC tag or scan the QR code. The finder page opens in the web browser.
Does the NFC Buddy track a child continuously?
No. The NFC Buddy is passive and has no battery. It works only when somebody taps it or scans the QR code. The current product does not track a child.
Where should the Buddy be attached?
Choose the item the child genuinely carries most often, such as a school bag, nursery backpack, coat zip, PE bag or secure trainer loop.
Are there bracelets?
No. The current InSyncKids Buddy range uses a snap hook keyring clip. There is no bracelet product.
How many colours can each Buddy use?
Each Buddy character is designed around a strict maximum of four production colours.
Can more than one adult be contacted?
The planned parent system supports approved parents, grandparents and trusted carers, with access controlled by the main account holder.
Can I update the information later?
Yes. The profile information is managed online so an authorised adult can update contact or helpful details without replacing the physical Buddy.
Is the Buddy a substitute for adult supervision?
No. It is an additional way for a finder to contact an approved adult. It does not prevent separation, replace supervision or replace emergency services.
